This rig had been designed with a free running snood, allowing the fish to bolt and then be pulled up sharp when it comes up against the weight, giving good bite indication. As a distance rig, it is suitable for most fishing and particularly good for cod.
Sinker not included.

3. Tie on the Link Clip, ensuring the line is approx. 830mm in length.
4. Hang the rig from a peg by the free running Link Clip and attach a sinker to the lower Link Clip.
5. Position the Breakaway Impact Shield just above the lower knot and secure the first crimp immediately above the 4mm release bead.
6. Position in top crimp (below the red spacer) approx. 70mm below the top knot and secure (This should leave the bent Genie rig clip hanging from the swivel.)
7. Clip the snood onto the snood swivel and locate the hook in the Breakaway Impact Shield and lay the top end of the line over the bent rig clip.
8. Hold the sinker down firmly, take the crimp above the spring and push it down until the spring is compressed to 3/4 its length and secure.
9. Finally position the sliding stop knot and 4mm release bead approx. 10mm below the pulley clip. |
