A close range pulley rig using light tackle to present smaller baits (eg. single lug or a piece of squid) on a long flowing snood. Sinker not included.
To Make this Rig
For the rig body, you will need;
1 x Link Clip
2 x 3mm Bead
1 x 45lb Snood Swivel
1 x Bent Rig Clip
1 x Red pulley clip spacer
2 x Mini-Crimp
1 x 4mm bead
1 x 6mm of 1.5mm silicone tubing
1 x Rig Clip
1 x 80lb Main Line Swivel
1 x approx. 1130mm length 60lb main line (for 830mm body)
You will also need:
1 x 1230mm snood
The Rig Body
1. Clip the 45lb snood swivel onto the bent rig clip.
2. Tie on the 80lb main line swivel and thread on the rest of the components in this order;

3. Tie on the top Link Clip, ensuring the rig is approx. 830mm.
4. Hang the rig by the top Link Clip from a peg and clip a sinker onto the free running Rig Clip.
5. Take the crimp below the red spacer and push up the main line until the pulley clip swivel is about 10mm from the top swivel and secure the crimp. This should leave the bent rig clip hanging from the swivel.
6. Place the snood (about 1/2 way along its length) over the pulley clip locate the hool into the bottom Rig Clip.
7. Push the silicone stop knot and 4mm bead up the line to approx. 100mm below the Pulley Clip assembly.
8. Push the remaining crimp up to approx. 30mm from the main line swivel and secure. |
