About this deal

The bottles design does the scent justice however the cap on this is really poorly designed how it attaches to the bottle so make sure we see the logo properly every time. Before the Bleu de Chanels, Sauvages, Dior Hommes, Laytons and Le Males, this was the king of modern mass appealing masculine scents.

Whilst the new formulations are nice the older bottle design is iconic and makes this frag stand out that little bit more. At the heart, notes of Rosemary and Lavender from Provence, France, exclusively crafted for Armani and sourced sustainably, combine to create a new, fascinatingly magnetic facet that has a powerfully aromatic effect. Moderate sillage, moderate longevity, never tried the original formula but I'd hope its a great deal better than this, I'd score this a 5/10 overall, not bad, but not good at all. Whoever is on here saying”it doesn’t smell like the original” or “it’s weak” needs to either stop leaving fake reviews, or, give their head a wobble. This newly conceived bottle is refillable, demonstrating Giorgio Armani’s mindfulness of the planet. Projection is average and the sillage is also average, projecting for the first two hours, than turning into a skin scent. I would recommend this type of fragrance for night use because of it's nice leathery, spicy and chill vibe. I only wore if once, liked it but didn’t apply it again until 4 months later because it was at the back of my collection. This is my favourite smelling designer fragrance of all time but such a shame the performance isn’t what it once was.

The dry down smells like cruising in an old Mercedes on a cold night - the leather accord is warm but darker than most. In 2005, the name changed to Armani Code, but there is no official record of the real reason for the change. And as always the aldehydes is extremly prominant with perfumes like these, they smell so frosty and like a gust of winter wind. With sustainability at its heart, the EDT looks towards the future with sustainably sourced ingredients and a flacon which is refillable and designed to last. Performance is good, better if your body temp is up a little so in my opinion, this would be a great late summer early fall frag. The olive blossom note results in creamy, almost buttery nuances, while the guaiac wood has an incense-sandalwood aspect. First of all, the performance of this fragrance does not suggest it is a perfume, it is more like an eau de parfum but not in any way a perfume.
