Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. On every page, another awe-inspiring sight awaits, from the deepest point on Earth to the highest peak, ancient cities carved into rock and skyscrapers soaring above the clouds.

Just randomly flipped to three pages and this is what I saw--- "go to sleep under the northern lights" which takes place on the northern tip of Finnish Lapland.Thank you to NetGalley, Lucy Letherland and Wide Eyed Editions for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Organised by continent, each wonder of the world is beautifully illustrated on a double-page spread, with a summary of information and small facts about its creation, history and/or present cultural significance arranged artfully on the page. This is the debut title from Wide Eyed Editions, a new imprint of Quarto Books - I can't wait to see what comes next! Atlas of Adventures is a huge - and rather yellow - book, and it's one I would have read endlessly as a child.

It reminded me how much I loved geography classes as a child and how the knowledge gained has served me well throughout my life. This book will truly ignite a passion for learning about our fabulous world as you move from place to place, from London to the Great Barrier Reef to visiting the penguins in the Antarctic.Atlas of Adventures is a huge - and rather yellow - book, and it' s one I would have read endlessly as a child. Some things are quite unique and specific, such as the flight of Monarch Butterflies in Mexico at end of summer. The bestselling series continues with Atlas of Adventures: Wonders of the World, the most wonderful adventure yet – a trip around the world to discover its greatest wonders! Atlas of Adventures was Lucy’s first book for children, and the series has since grown to include Atlas of Animal Adventures, Atlas of Adventures: Wonders of the World, Atlas of Dinosaur Adventures, Atlas of Ocean Adventures, Atlas of Adventures: Activity Fun Pack, Atlas of Adventures: Travel Edition, and Atlas of Record-Breaking Adventures. I am a huge explorer of the planet and want to pass my love of travel to my nieces and god children.

Atlas of Adventures has had pride of place on the table downstairs and visitors have commented on just how stunning it is. I was immediately bothered by a stronger emphasis on some continents (such as Europe and North America) and considerable less emphasis on others (such as Africa). And they can be equally impressed by the Great Wall of China or Machu Picchu, two man made structures that have survived over hundreds of years. Marvel at the thundering cascades from the Brazilian side, or take a boat ride to the base of the falls for a closer look. My husband hails from the Caribbean, and I am familiar and comfortable with Carnival culture and my kids have experienced it firsthand, so we can talk about how things can be considered culturally appropriate for one place and time even if they would be a bit much for another place or people.
